Dog Bed Information

Each part of an Absurd Dog bed is handmade.  

From hand stuffing the mattress with 100% sheep wool centre, sourced from the Orkney Isles in Scotland. The sheep the wool is sourced from actually eat seaweed and live right on the coastal rocks! This means the wool is super hard wearing and tough and designed to give the sheep (and now your dog) as much warmth as possible. Wool is a fantastic material and it is able to insulate and keep your dog warm in the winter and cool in the summer.  The outer edge of the mattress is stuffed with soft micro fibre for the dog to rest its head or curl up next to. 

The waterproof liner is also handmade and machine washable at 30 degrees, protecting the mattress from any leaks or spills. The waterproof liner should be ironed on a cold setting or just hung out to dry in the sun after washing. 

The outer cover is made from two fabrics and is reversible to be comfortable on either side. A colourful upholstery velvet base and a denim top which is hand screen printed with a fun Absurd quote about your furry friend.  Denim is a great fabric as it's extremely hard wearing, especially if your dog likes to really claw before settling down. The screen printed saying has been heat sealed which means the cover can also be machine washable at 30 degrees. Iron the cover on a cotton setting or hang out to dry.  

I have researched extensively how to design and create the perfect dog bed for all types of dogs and dogs sleeping patterns! I believe this bed is fantastic for your dog because of the materials sourced to fill the mattress and also a great fun design for your home with the funny, conversation starting saying on the top or the colourful base/top which can add a splash of colour to your home and be practical as a bed for your pooch.
