*NEW* ReSEAcled Poop Bags and why they're better for the environment.

As responsible dog owners we all seek to find the most sustainable and earth rated poop bags to use when out on dog walks. 

Unfortunately it's not easy to know which bag is really making a difference. Choosing between compostable poop bags and biodegradable dog poop bags seems like the most obvious choice but now research as shown that this can actually be having a negative effect and not be fully eco-friendly. 

Why not compostable?

I had always believed my best option with my own dog was by using compostable dog bags.   But I didn't realise, with compostable bags, they are only an effective sustainable option if you literally 'compost' them in your compost bin.  If you put these dog poop bags in a dog waste bin they will be taken to a landfill or incinerator and cause just as much damage to the environment as plastic bags. 

FACT :  Compostable and biodegradable poo bags do not reliably breakdown as claimed.  They contribute to the microplastics filtering into the environment and can be just as bad as normal plastic - especially if not disposed of correctly. 

What instead?

In striving to offer both my customers and my own dog walks an eco-friendly and sustainable solution I discovered Pet Impact and their ReSEAcled Poop Bags.  These award winning poo bags take recycled plastic and oyster shells to create the World's first certified Plastic Negative poo bag!
